Who is it for?
This course is for schools and colleges who have already met their statutory requirements in terms of equipping their staff with either a First at Work certificate or an Emergency First Aid at work certificate but who require staff to have additional cover for certain activities such as residential trips, sporting activities and out of hours clubs etc.
It is also suitable for schools that have varying age ranges of children e.g. independent schools catering for 1-18 year olds and Middle schools catering for 9-13 year olds.
These staff may not necessarily require a full three day course but may need to have some focus spent on elements of first aid that are specifically relevant to their working practice e.g. Sports teachers like to have a greater understanding of head and skeletal injuries and asthma as these problems may occur during sporting activities.
Please note, this course does not replace the need for the First Aid in the Workplace or Paediatric First Aid training courses.

Our trainer had a manner which made it easy to try things. I enjoyed the course, and found it really useful, thorough and practical. It was easy to see how it would apply to our situation
