Food Safety Training
Businesses that provide food must comply with UK food safety legislation, in particular the Food Hygiene Regulations 2006 and the General Food Regulations 2004. These regulations are enforced by environmental health officers in local councils who may also enforce trading standards legislation covering food labelling matters and weights and measures.
Scores on the Doors
In recent years, some local councils have introduced scores on the doors schemes which enable the public to find out how good the hygiene standards were when the business was last inspected. In 2010, the Food Standards Agency introduced a National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme which is expected to become mandatory throughout the country. The Government supports this and hope to make the display of 'scores on the doors' certificates compulsory later this year.
Our food safety partner works with businesses to ensure the food they produce is safe and that they are legally compliant. Their team of consultants and trainers have been carefully selected on the basis of their qualifications, experience and attitude. It includes Chartered Environmental Health Practitioners, food technologists, nutrition experts and food sustainability consultants. They understand the pressure that companies are under now more than ever and are committed to providing sensible advice to help you comply with the law in a way that suits your operation and style of working.
Our food safety partner can review/devise food safety management systems and HACCP plans, audit food businesses, offer SALSA and BRC mentoring, manage food supply chains, provide food labelling advice, allergen surveys, enforcement liaison and legal support.
The following courses are run by our food safety partner. They are run under our partner's terms and conditions and pricing, and are subject to their availability.
