What's covered in the Emergency First Aid at Work training course?

The Emergency First Aid at Work training course covers the following topic areas:

  • Acting safely and promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Preventing Cross infection, recording incidents and actions and use of available equipment
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Care of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
  • Choking
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Minor injuries

How is the Emergency First Aid at Work training course assessed?

The Emergency First Aid at Work training course is continually assessed throughout the day. Following successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate, which will be valid for three years. Please note, the HSE also strongly recommend taking an annual half-day skills update course each year, between your full EFAW certificate renewals.

How much does the Emergency First Aid at Work course cost?

In-house course price: £450 + VAT (for up to 10 candidates).
Open course price: £78 + VAT per candidate.
